HAMBURG.

11th August 1909.

Sir,

In reply to your favour of the 3rd June last sent to the Scientific Assistant of the State Archives Dr. JOACHIM, we beg to state that Maria Carolina Dorothea BERG, born here on the 2nd December 1785 (St. Michaelis 595) was here married to the Cabinet Maker Johann Albrecht KIRRFER of Nuremberg on the 12th June 1808 (St.Michaelis 385) and died a widow on the 25th September 1837 in the General Hospital in this town (534).

The searches for Franz BERG, born here on the 28th August 1790 (St Katharinen 326) have remained hitherto without any result. Neither could his marriage be proved, from the Church Registers of the town or of the suburbs, to have taken place between 1808 and 1840, nor his death between the years 1790 and 1880. His name is not to be found in the Directories of the years 1816 to 1880 nor does ir appear among the God-fathers of his sister's children.

On the other hand when making these searches there was found the date of the death of his mother: she died in the Parish of St. Michaelis on the 13th August 1798.

The fee for making the enquiries is 15 Marks. Kindly send this amount, free of costs, to the Offices of the State Archives.

For the STATE ARCHIVES.
