Sir,

In reply to your letter of the 27th ultimo, I have to acquaint you that the name of Bergh does not appear on the register or in the List of Crew rendered for the "Prima Donna" of Liverpool, and I am therefore unable to furnish you with his age and birthplace.

I have to add that the name of Augustus Bergh, aged 34*, born in Lincolnshire appears in our Register in the year 1843 but there is nothing to identify him with the person concerning whom your inquiry is made.
